Laid to Rest

The funeral services over the remains of George Seitz, who died unexpectedly at the hospital in Kansas City Monday morning at 8 o'clock, 48 hours after a successful operation had been preformed for appendicitis, were held at the Allen M.P. church Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Smith, and where hundreds of friends had assembled to pay their last sad tribute to the dead, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Allen cemetery.
George, who was loved and respected by everyone, was 13 years of age at the time of death, having been born here Feb. 15, 1891.  Rev. Smith preached a touching sermon, pointing out the pure character of the departed one, who died as he had lived, a Christian, being a member of the M.P. Sunday school.
The Allen schools closed in his honor and the scholars attended the services in a body, six boys, his school-mates, acting as pall bearers.  In this their sad hour of affliction Mr. and Mr.s Seitz have the sympathy of everyone.
