Henry H. Rowley Dead.

  After an illness of about six months, Henry H. Rowley, one of our oldest and most respected citizens, died at his home in this city last Thursday afternoon, Jan. 21st, his wife and several other relatives being at his bed side at the time of death.
  Funeral services were held at the Allen M.E. church, Friday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Riggle, who preached a touching sermon over the remains of the deceased, which was listened to by a large congregation of sorrowing relatives and friends, after which interment was made in the Allen cemetery.
  Henry H. Riley was born in Armstrong county, Pennsylvania, March 16, 1831, being at the time of death, 73 years of age.  On October 16, 1852, he was married to Miss Hanna Yount to which union seven children were born, three boys and four girls, all of whom survive him except his first wife and one daughter.  Mr. Rowley came to Kansas in 1897 and was married to Catherine Seely on Nov. 6, the same year, who with the other relatives and friends have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad hour of affliction.  Mr. Rowley was raised a Dunkard and remained with that church until about twenty-five years ago when he united with the Methodist Episcopal church remaining true to the faith until death, who will receive his reward for his faithful services in the Christian ranks.
