Dorothy K. Harsch February 17, 1920 -- March 7, 2003    Dorothy K. Service, the daughter of Walter E. and Marie A. Strauhs Service, was born on February 17, 1920 in Allen, Lyon County, Kansas.   She was raised in Allen, and was graduated from Allen High School in 1938.  Dorothy and Ewald B. Harsch were united in marriage on January 20, 1952 in Osage City, Kansas.   For many years Dorothy Harsch wrote news columns for The Eskridge Independent and the Burlingame Enterprise-Chronicle papers from the Wilmington community in which they lived.   She died on March 7, 2003 leaving two sisters, Frances Watson of Emporia, Kansas and Gertrude Batchelor of Excelsior Springs,  Mo. to morn her passing.
