The body of Rufus Christian was brought from Council Grove Wednesday and buried in the Allen cemetery.  Mr. Christian died at St. Marys Hospital in Emporia, Monday morning following an operation for appendicitis.  He was a fireman on the Missouri Pacific out of Council Grove.  The Christian family formerly lived here and were quite well known to the older residents of this vicinity.  Rufus leaves a mother and brother to mourn his loss.
